Founder & CEO
Kari’s personal blog, One Of A Kind, sets out to educate, empower and inspire you to be a game changer. (www.oneofakind.blog).
As the Founder & CEO of Earth-Kind, Inc., Kari Warberg Block was the first to develop, manufacture, and commercialize non-toxic rodent and insect repellents for home use. Until Earth-Kind entered the marketplace, 98% of pest control solutions sold were kill methods & poisons. Kari is committed to eliminating the need for poison use in the home through education and innovation, and is considered a market disrupter. She’s a guardian of corporate social responsibility, an EY Winning Woman, a champion for Start Up America and serves as a mentor and advisor for inventors, entrepreneurs and CEOS who are scaling their businesses.
A true mother of invention, Kari’s first product, Fresh Cab — the first botanical rodent repellent safe enough to use at home, but strong enough to meet Federal EPA standards for professional use — was created at her kitchen table. As a mother of two, living on a North Dakota farm, she was determined to not only keep the farm and its equipment free of mice, but to protect her children and their precious pets from dangerous toxins.
As Earth-Kind continues to grow, Kari has set her sights on empowering other entrepreneurs to follow their dreams and to encourage corporate America to become more socially responsible.
A highly regarded public speaker, Kari was chosen as one of the top three Small Business People of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2013. That year, she was also awarded the SBA’s highest honor in her home state of North Dakota — Small Business Person of the Year. She is currently a member of the National Women’s Business Council, which advises the President, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the United States Congress.
Earth-Kind is Women Business Enterprise Certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
